At JTL, AI-assisted software development is part of our everyday work. Our teams use tools including GitHub Copilot, Claude, and ChatGPT. We don't expect "AI gurus", but we do expect openness to modern development tools and the ability to assess their use sensibly.
In practice, this means:
- You use AI assistants and agents for your daily work tasks, and you know when to critically question their output.
- You are familiar with agentic workflows: you assign multi-step tasks to AI tools, critically review the results, and iterate further.
- You actively follow new developments in AI-assisted software development and share your knowledge with the team.
Your Responsibilities:
- You lead development teams professionally and disciplinarily, supporting their technical and personal growth.
- You own the reliable delivery of your teams and ensure realistic planning, transparency, and early communication of risks.
- You organise and manage the operational development process – refinements, sprint and iteration planning, and ongoing prioritisation.
- You work with Product Management to ensure requirements are clear, actionable, and sufficiently prepared.
- You coordinate technical assessments, estimations, and dependencies together with Tech Leads and the team.
- You make operational decisions in day-to-day work – on bugs, short-notice requirements, or necessary scope adjustments.
- You identify bottlenecks, structural issues, and overload early and make them visible.
- You collaborate closely with other teams, Product Management, Architecture, and leadership.
- You provide clear reporting on progress, risks, and deviations from plan.
